The founder of the company, Tiejun Zhao, graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1988. After graduation, he went to a well-known instrument brand company in Shenzhen to serve as minister of engineering department, assisting the joint venture foreign engineer in the development and design of the first-generation domestic digital multimeter. Relying on the research of technology and the enthusiasm for design work, he embarked on the road of development, innovation and entrepreneurship of intelligent instruments.

He started his own business in 1997, mainly engaged in the design and service of new instrumentation products. In 2000, he established the Shenzhen Baoan Sampo Instrument Research Center, to independently develop digital tachometers and intelligent frequency meters, then registered the "欣宝科仪" trademark in 2004 and the "sanpometer" trademark later. Shenzhen Sanpo Instrument Co., Ltd. was established in 2005. At this time, it has grown from two people at the beginning to more than 40 people. The products have accumulated 4 categories such as tachometer, moisture meter, illuminance meter , and infrared thermometer, more than 20 models and with a number of patents. Today, the company has more than 80 models of mature products, which are sold all over the world.
